Planning: How to Initiate a Successful Cleanup

Introduction

Now that you know more about the problem of littering, it’s time to take action yourself. Look around your school or neighborhood. Are there places that are particularly littered? How could you and your friends help clean these places up? Make a plan and think about everything you’ll need – trash bags, gloves, maybe even permission from adults.

Materials: A worksheet for planning a cleanup. It should have fields for the location, the required materials, task distribution, and the schedule.
